Case Study 

In November of 2021, Hexagon Creative was approached by the team relaunching the Pensole Lewis College, a Historically Black College founded in 1928 that closed during the city’s economic troubles in the mid 2010’s. The college is today being relaunched as a design and business school, under the guidance of Dr. D’wayne Edwards. Through their efforts, their goal is to have a fully operational HBCU in the only UNESCO City of Design in the United States, Detroit. 

The school plans to provide innovative and unique programs, such as footwear design, apparel design, and brand and product marketing. They will also provide condensed “masterclass” programs where students work with industry brands to expand their skills in design through hands-on experience. 

As a collaboration of design, Hexagon worked with Dr. Edwards and his team to create an exceptional website that could relay the true potential that lies within this project and to attract design-minded students to the new school. Through this collaboration, we created a beautiful website that can truly embody the spirit of the school and the city.
